The aims of this work is to help release and/or relieve physical and emotional irregularities/traumas, which are stored in the body’s muscles, organs, skin and tissues.
Releasing a degree of muscle tension to aid relaxation.

The services offered promote a feeling of safety, healing and consent. I have a deep understanding of the trust and comfort levels that need to exist during the sessions for trauma affected clients. For these reasons the client should always understand that they are in charge. It’s up to them how the session progresses, within the boundaries of the agreement. The therapist is there to serve, no matter what type of therapy you may receive.

At introduction, we will chat about the service(s) offered and plan the session that you feel most comfortable with, if we are to proceed.
Sometimes the potential client can be deemed unsuitable for the treatment and it’s also possible that the client may feel that the treatment offered is not for them, at that time.

If a treatment takes place during the first visit it can last from 2 1/2 to 4+ hours. The session usually starts with a yes/no exercise. This is designed to help empower you, the client and to help you understand your boundaries more fully.
Moving on you’ll receive a relaxing full body, deep tissue massage, which flows into a mix of slow/quick and gentle/firm movements to awaken the energy body and increase sensitivity of the skin. During this stage I will identify areas of muscle tension and work to remove this.
Thereafter the treatment includes exploratory practices to discover what traumas may be trapped beneath the surface and verbal interaction is required to help release these.
The methods employed include a variety of touch from very gentle to a firmer, quite specific approach to particular areas. These firmer applications can be controlled through via direct feedback.
Ultimately we’re working together to help with your healing… any emotion or feeling can arise during the session and it’s up to you if you want to explore it.

A waist height 7ft x 4ft and very comfortable therapy bed is used for all treatments.

These particular practices have been administered for centuries but not brought necessarily together in any particular way. The treatment I offer is unique in that, I incorporate several different styles to each session, depending upon the needs of the client.
