This is a part-time role supporting Not The Andrew Marr Show founder, Crispin Flintoff. Tasks will include sourcing outdoor locations for the shows, managing contracts and logistics including risk assessments. The role requires budgeting and updating cashflows. In addition, the Tour Manager will co-ordinate with local supporters of Not The Andrew Marr Show, engaging volunteers and expedite local and national marketing campaigns. The work is frontloaded to ensure set-up is thorough (April/May-July), after which it dials-down with a focus on monitoring and facilitating a smooth roll-out (July-Sept).
The Tour:
Over summer 2023, Cult podcast Not The Andrew Marr Show will run a series of live shows across the country from its solar-powered stage truck. The shows will feature alternative voices from the left-wing of the political spectrum, continuing the grassroots movement that was inspired by Jeremy Corbyn in 2015. Combining comedy, poetry, speeches and music, Not The Andrew Marr Show UK tour will give a platform to local campaigners and activists. The aim is to inspire those who want to make a contribution to their community but have found themselves politically homeless.
Skills:
The successful candidate will have experience of booking locations and managing event set-up. Necessary skills include: Excellent telephone manner, ability to research and to think outside the box, aptitude for negotiation, reliability, able to deliver to deadline, highly motivated, enterpreneurial, Word, Excel.
