Technics RS-M245X Tape Cassette Deck
With original box, manual and remote control
I would describe this as a COLLECTORS' ITEM because this particular machine is extremely rare and to have one in excellent working order and very good condition, both with original box and manual, but boasting an early cable connected remote control, is highly unusual, I believe.
We believe this was the 84 era machine. But it has DBX which Dolby B and C aside, is an extremely high quality noise reduction with virtually no compression involved.
Playing high quality tapes on these ie chrome or preferably metal, gives a superb sound even to this day and that’s why these machines are being sought after still. Let alone being used as karaoke machines, of course!
It has recently been serviced with new belts fitted where applicable, checked and is in full working order.
The last one of these we saw available in a 240v version, sold a year or so back for around £400 and that was a pretty scruffy machine whereas this one is in very good clean condition, with just a few age related marks.
