Sports Coach Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a Sports Coach SEN Teaching Assistant, who is looking to gain experience in a progressive school in Wythenshawe. The role will require you to work 1:1 with a child, utilising sports activities to keep the child engaged in their school work.
A successful applicant will have good experience working with SEN children and must be confident in supporting on a 1:1 basis and also in a classroom setting. A relevant qualification is preferred, along with some experience with coaching SEN children. Some safeguarding training is provided.
Prospero Teaching provide staff to schools and colleges across Greater Manchester, including SEN schools. We are currently looking to fill an SEN Teaching Assistant role in Rusholme. The strongest applicant will have confidence in supporting a key child inside and outside of the classroom.

Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent is preferredPrevious experience working in a UK school or with children of a similar ageUp to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide two professional child related references OTHER
