Starfyn Education are looking for hard working and motivated SEN Teaching assistants to work in an ' outstanding ' and hardworking school-who want the best for their staff and pupils, in and around the Lambeth area.The school caters for pupils from ages of 11 to 19 with a range of different needs, pupils having moderate learning difficulties to severe learning difficulties as well as pupils with Autism.The ideal candidate will be willing to go above and beyond to care for the children and have a passion for their role. Pay can be up to GBP100 per day depending on experience.If this is for you, apply now!Responsibilities: Help and support the class teacher where requiredReporting any issues, in line with school policy and procedureCommunicating effectively with children along with the staff, parents, and carers where necessaryLooking after students emotional, physical and social well beingHelp promote each student love of learningWhere required, supporting individual needs including assisting with a wide range of medical and occasionally personal care tasks as necessary and providing physical support where needed (training will be provided in giving medical care and support) inspiring and engaging with children with a range of additional learning needs The suitable candidate will have: Primary experienceKnowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning difficulties and disabilities (SEMH, ASC, challenging behaviour)Training related to SEND e.g. Autism Awareness, Team Teach (safe handling)Experience of working 1:1 or with small groups.Ability to adapt to a various working environments and students with differing abilitiesInterest in Autism, Speech and Language and being patient and kind with an approachable personality Candidates will be required to submit an application form as well as supply references, also you will be required to own an up-to-date, or be willing to apply for a Starfyn Education DBS
