This is the Sony a7R IV A version - which is still in production
The original A7R IV was discontinued and replaced by the A7R IVA in 2021; updated with a higher resolution LCD screen (2.36M vs 1.44M dots on the previous model).
Boxed, excellent condition.
This camera is rated up to 500,000 shutter actuations
So at 5k actuations it’s only used 1% of its shutter life.
Bought late Nov 2021, and only used on two projects.
Well cared for - handled mindfully and used sparingly.
If you don’t need the ‘fast moving action shot’ functionality of the A7RV
You gain exactly the same 61MP imagine quality (it’s exactly the same Exmor R CMOS sensor) here for 1/2 the price.
A bargain for anyone doing calmer shooting such as fine art, landscape, interiors, architecture, portraits, astro, macro.
Or someone who wants to add a second 61MP camera to your kit for half the money!
Benefit of using 61MP is in the cropping, carrying only one lens; e.g at 35mm, you can crop in-post to a 50mm or 85mm frame with no loss.
Great for detail you want to capture at a distance.
Priced sensibility in accordance with it being the newer 'A', 12 months old, and a low shutter count.
Includes a service warranty document with the cameras serial number detailed - valid until late Nov 2023.
It was bought in Nov 2021 from a UK retailer, and it has a UK symbol on the bottom proving its not a grey import; which Sony service in the UK don’t support.
(Over 90% currently on ebay are grey imports of the older 2019 version, so they have been more used, out of warranty and not supported)
