We are the 'Folk on the Green'. Why not pop in on a Wednesday evening and meet us?
We are a small and friendly group of singers and acoustic instrumentalists formed over 12 years ago. We greatly enjoy singing and performing together in relaxed and fun evenings, and we e singers, both male and female, to join us.
There is NO JOINING FEE, just a small WEEKLY DONATION OF £1 (which includes a mug of tea or coffee!)
We all sing, and some play acoustic instruments that include guitars, bass, banjo, harmonica and percussion. We perform a wide range of music, from rearranged popular songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, spirituals, modern and traditional folk songs, and some positions.
Male voices are needed In particular. There's no need to read music and no auditions - all you need is a desire to join us and the ability to sing in tune! We meet every Wednesday evening at the United Reformed Church, First Cross Road, Twickenham TW2 5QA from 7.30pm - 9.00pm. The red church door is through the entrance gate and to the left.
Parking nearby around Twickenham Green is free after 6.30pm
