SHE Officer

Salary - £35,000 - £43,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
Annual Company Bonus
Annual Leave - 25 days increasing to 28 after 6 years’ service
Defined Contribution Pension - Maximum contributions: Employer 16% / Employee 11%
Hybrid working – 2 days remote working
Our client is an innovative nuclear pany who supply a wide range of advanced machinery and technology to the nuclear sector.
They currently require the services of a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to join their growing Technical Services team based in Capenhurst, Chester.
Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and implement SHE management processes and procedures
Liaise and coordinate the implementation of Group initiatives with SHE Managers
Develop and deliver the annual SHE strategic plan
Prepare and present regular SHE updates to the Management Team and MTM & ECF meetings
Review and maintain Safety Instructions, Safety Work Instructions and Risk Assessments
Review and approve Contractor Risk Assessments / Method Statements
Manage, monitor, and update Dosimetry and Radiation requirements
Ensure all SHE incidents are reported, investigated and lessons learnt effectively adopted and shared
Deliver SHE activities to include:
Maintain legislative regulatory Licences
Provide Safety training and inductions
Coordinate the quarterly SHERC meetings
Coordinate the Safety Stop of Work event
Promote and deliver 5S
Manage, monitor and update TopDesk, providing management data and charts
Identify, appoint, and arrange appropriate training for employees to perform specific roles as required by the SHE management systems
Act as a focal point for all internal and external personnel and agencies relating to SHE
Maintain and pliance with the Environmental Agency ESOS Assessment process
Maintain SHE intranet pages
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 1 years’ experience working at a similar level in a medium pany
Good secondary education to at least A Level
Safety Qualification – NEBOSH National General Certificate with opportunity to further develop
