Senior Support Worker - Gloucestershire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Support Worker to work with our client within her own home.
The position would suit candidates who have experience supporting individuals with complex health needs.
The role would see you being an integral part of the leadership and management team, which, in addition to working with the client on shift, would be responsible for reviewing care documentation, working closely with clinicians and deputising in the absence of the Team Leader.
The ideal candidate will be quick and free thinking, enabling our client to lead a life that is fulfilling and meaningful; maximising her physical and psychological well-being and promoting her safety at all times.
Providing help and assistance with all activities of daily living, building, developing and nurturing a therapeutic relationship with her to support her to continue to achieve her therapeutic goals.
You will work closely with the relevant professionals including treating therapists, implementing her rehabilitative therapy programme and facilitating social activities; as well as supporting her in all aspects of her life.
Shifts on a rota system to include mornings, evening and nights.
Working hours: 36 hours per week.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.
Rates of pay: Up to £16.50 per hour Monday – Friday, dependent on experience.
Up to £18.50 per hour per hour Saturday and Sunday, dependent on experience.
Weekday sleeping night: £112.00 flat rate
Weekend sleeping night: £128.00 flat rate
Bank holidays are paid at double rate
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential. Experience with PEG feeding would be an advantage.
