We're looking for a Senior Manager to join the FCA Regulatory Affairs team to act as key individual in ensuring the successful delivery of the Group's Regulatory Strategy.
This role plays a critical part in handling the FCA, ensuring the Regulatory Affairs team acts as conduit for identifying, escalating, and mitigating areas of regulatory risk, as well as preparing internal reports and briefings for senior executives.
What you'll be doing:
Work alongside the Head of GRA FCA to drive the Group's ambitions around Regulatory Engagement, helping build relationship with the FCA and delivering the Group's Regulatory Strategy. Assist driving the transformation of Regulatory Affairs, seeking opportunities to automate activities and enhance products delivered. Acting as a trusted adviser for business contacts to ensure regulatory interactions are successful. Learn from internal and external sources to evolve LBG's engagement to meet regulatory expectations. Prepare briefings, MI and Reports that provide senior management and the Board with the latest positions on key hot topics, as well as key messages. Influence decision-making by providing insight, control and thought leadership. What we need to see on your CV Previous experience at working with/or at the Regulator. Thorough understanding of the Regulatory environment and implications for LBG. Ability to communicate in all forms and to audiences at all levels both internally and externally. Experience of producing high quality written content in the form of board papers and briefing etc. Evidence of being an adopter of change and embracing transformation. About you Passionate about compliance risk and a comprehensive understanding of the UK Conduct regulatory environment. Exhibits a thirst to improve, adopting new challenges and working flexibly, maintaining an understanding of emerging risks and areas of regulatory focus as they emerge and evolve. Ability to assess and take a comprehensive view of risk and understand the importance of a healthy risk culture. History of providing effective thought leadership and intellectual curiosity to produce insightful, high-quality briefings, contact reports, advice and guidance to support senior partner needs, adjusting style and message based on audience. Evidence of ability to influence with impact, shaping the opinions and actions of key partners, gaining their trust and commitment to the desired outcome and demonstrates an ability to build strong partner relationships both internally and externally. Experience of handling diverse and senior internal colleagues is crucial. Can articulate LBG's high level business strategy and priorities, with a detailed understanding of regulatory, customer and industry expectations and requirements.
