Victim Support Service Team Leader

Position: 4811 Team Leader
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (flexible and home working options)
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am -4pm
Salary: GBP26,917.55 per annum plus travel expenses
Contract: Permanent

The Role
The purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of structured support to victims of crime, including victims of serious crime, those persistently targeted and vulnerable and intimidated victims in line with the Ministry Of Justice Victims Code of Practice.
The role is office based in Birmingham, with an expectation to travel across West Midlands.
As a Team Leader you will lead and develop your team to deliver our multi-crime service across the West Midlands.
You will manage a team of Independent Victim Advocates using regular supervisions and case management reviews to ensure best practice. You will also be responsible for developing multi-agency relationships within your area.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good working knowledge and strong understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices in line with current Data Protection legislation and requirements. You will have experience of delivering a service and working directly with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting. You will also have knowledge of the criminal justice system and the impact of Domestic Abuse.
You will:
Be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising work and dealing with competing demands.
Be able to gather, analyse and use information from different sources to deliver successful outcomes.
Have good IT skills with particular emphasis on managing databases to allocate and audit work.
