Days & Hours: Term Time Monday to Friday 06.45am to 09.00am and then 3.30pm to 8.30pm. More information on additional hours required during holidays, below.

About this client/child:
Olivia 11 and Maya 6 live with their mum and dad. The bond between Olivia and her sister is special; Maya is very attentive to the needs of her big sister. Olivia loves music, reading, theatre and lots of other fun interactive activities. Her smile is beaming when she is happy. People who know Olivia simply love her and the love she gives back is quite wonderful. Sitting and talking about your day with Olivia, about perhaps funny things that happened to you or someone you know will delight her. She has a great sense of humour so if you have funny jokes then do bring them along. Weather permitting Olivia also enjoys going out for walks; there are lots of green spaces close to where she lives. Olivia has Rett Syndrome, which affects all four limbs, she is nonverbal however for the last year has been using eye gaze and gaining fantastic confidence. Olivia is fed orally and absolutely loves her food. She likes to observe what is being cooked but is more content when her meal is ready to eat!
Overview of role:
Olivia’s day begins at 6.45am, then it is breakfast time, making sure her eye gaze bag and snacks are ready for the bus pick up to school at 08.30 am. There are light household duties related to Olivia required. There may be days when Olivia is not able to attend school so this will be your only job. You will have lots of free time during the day to do online studies or other classes of interest. Olivia is dropped off from school at 4.00pm, where she will have some downtime before her therapy programme is carried out. This is also a time for her to choose an activity, such as playing with her musical instruments, reading a story, or listening to music. Dinner time is a lovely time for the family to be together. Her bedtime routine is bath time, changed and Olivia made all comfortable for sleep time which is at 8.30 pm. Maya loves to be around her big sister AND the carers so if you don’t mind another little person listening in to stories or chats. And there are times when Olivia is perhaps having a rest when Maya needs some fun interaction. There are additional hours available for occasional weekends, and Monday to Friday, during the holidays, average 42 hours per week. The family would prefer a Live In nanny, but would consider a Daily Nanny for the right candidate.
