You will be working in a busy gatehouse to control access/egress, deliveries, and contractors arriving on-site ensuring a swift handover at the beginning and end of shifts.
Average of 42 hours per week, Days/Nights and weekends
You will be on 12-hour shifts,
4 on 4 off rota
Opportunities for overtime
Knowledge of Access Control and basic Microsoft skills.
Your daily tasks will be:
To prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.Monitoring alarms.Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices.Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.Essential SkillsWhat you will bring to be a Security Officer:
