Rare, completely one-off reso guitar. Made from reclaimed materials.
Made by Sean Kochel of Montana (check out his work online).
The guitar is made from wood from the ‘Missoula Mercantile’ circa 1885.
Maple neck, walnut fretboard with bullet shell inlays.
Rio grande mini p90 pickup and a small piezo in the bridge of the cone.
Shotgun shells for the two separate volume controls.
Two way truss.
Elk antler nut.
I have owned the guitar for nearly a year and played a few gigs with it. I have also had it professionally set up with slight adjustments to the neck angle and the string height.
I have also had a new bridge / saddle in the cone made as the original had very shallow grooves. The pick-up has also been angled to produce a little more volume on the treble strings for solos.
Amazing guitar that gets a LOT of attention wherever it goes. Nothing quite like it.
