Principal Mechanical Design Engineers - Defence

This is some of the most advanced and interesting technology you will get to work on and as Principal/Lead, you will be at the forefront of developing mechanical solutions on a wide variety of complex systems whilst collaborating with the wider multi-disciplinary team. Your activities will cover all areas of the product lifecycles, from future concepts, detailed design and qualification to production and support. There may be some national and international travel and plenty of opportunities for personal development, including Chartership and Professional Accreditation.
About You:
Able to gain UK Security ClearanceIdeally Degree/HND/HNC qualifiedExperience in Mechanical Design and Development in one of the following areas; Mechanisms, Structures, Assembly and Integration, Concept down selection and developmentThe ability to lead, as part of a multi-disciplinary teamAwareness of proving and qualification activities to ensure complianceRobust design experience across the product lifecycle (CADMID)Excellent communicatorExperience with suppliersAn understanding of structural/thermal/dynamic analysis would be a bonus3D CAD/CAE experience In terms of location, this company understands that flexibility benefits all of us, and are able to offer a hybrid 2-3 days per week approach to on-site and remote working. Locations include Stevenage, Bristol and Greater Manchester.
