A Holiday Park That's Rich in Natural Beauty
Any stay at Castledene would certainly not be complete without a visit to the nearby Castle Eden Dene National Nature Reserve. Noted for being the largest natural woodland in Britain, this 220 hectare woodland and grassland area is home to the endangered red squirrel, roe deer and badger as well as a multitude of exquisite plants, flowers and grasses. In summer months, the fragrant flowering of the orchids is a particular attraction as is the rock rose within the grassland areas.

Set in the idyllic woodlands of Castle Eden, Castledene is one of the most picturesque holiday parks in County Durham offering peace and tranquillity amongst stunning scenery. The 18 acre site is surrounded by national walkways and is minutes away from Castle Eden Golf Club, riding stables, fantastic restaurants and country pubs. This holiday park gives you the perfect base to explore the very best of County Durham with the historic town of Hartlepool just a short drive away where you can see the famous tall ships and explore the recently redeveloped marina. Durham City itself is only 20 minutes away with its world famous cathedral, shops and museums.
The holiday park itself is perfect for those looking to enjoy a quieter lifestyle and become part of a close-knit community.
Each plot on the park comes with its own parking bay along with piped gas, water and electricity. Castledene is open 12 months a year and you can find us just off the A19 at Castle Eden.
