This is a nice Mockingbird Electric Guitar finished in Jet Black with upgraded
Schecter Humbuckers. A clone of the famous BC Rich Mockingbird, the guitar
was manufactured in Korea by Samick sometime in the early 2000s.
Wesley were a North of England importer who sold and distributed a range of
own brand name guitars manufactured predominantly in Korea. The quality is
good, a mahogany body with a Maple neck and a 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is solid, well built es with split coil micro switching for each pickup. A whole variety of tones are available, equally at home playing metal or melodic blues and Jazz.
The neck is particularly nice and the fretboard is bound and has attractive inlays reminiscent of Aria Pro II guitars of yesteryear. The guitar is used and does have some small indents, swirls and nicks here and there. Two areas of chips that have been painted in, one tiny area on the headstock face and one on the corner as shown in photo 9.
Overall though it is super clean and just had a mini set up with fresh new strings. The guitar all works as it should with a good low action and is ready to play and enjoy. Click on the images for further detailing.
