This Market Overview and Value Orientation reflects the range and average values for machinery on the european market. The prices quoted are based on the results of intense observation of the market and personal conclusions drawn by the editors. Furthermore, experts and other institutions involved in the field of machinery participated in a consulting capacity.
The values represent a medium price structure after consideration of regional trends concerning supply and demand. This price guide on used machinery contains Dealers Purchase Prices for machinery manufactured during the past 10 years. The „Basic Prices“ are average list prices quoted by the manufacturer/importer. (If in brackets, production is terminated.)
Evaluations are based on a "one shift per day" cycle. The prices refer to machinery , fully functional and in roadworthy condition, certified according to local legal operating laws and ordinance. New certfications are not due during the next 6 months.
All machinery is standard serial production, including standard accessories from the manufacturer. Prototypes, single or special models are not considered.
The machines have to meet the requirements of the Equipment Safety Ordinance. The following documents should be available for each and every item of machinery: Operating Permit, General Operating Permit or Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate, Inspection Record Book, Operating Instructions, Spare Parts Catalogue, Capacity or Performance Schedules and other explanatory literature. The machines and equipment are regarded as fully operational, and, apart from traces of normal wear and tear, free from any major faults. Supporting frames or parts must not show any cracks, fractures, bucklings or deformations. Corrosion is not permissible.
The machines should be painted in the original manufacturers colors. Other colors as well as signwriting of the previous owners entail a decrease in value. All vital aggregates, spare parts, and equipment have not yet been replaced and should be in a serviceable condition in relation to the stated operation hours. Crawlers or tyres must have at least 30% of the original thread. Any deviation from the above mentioned conditions will justify price reductions.
At the same time increases in values are possible in following cases: Valueincreasing major improvements/repairs, new or service-exchange aggregates, new crawlers or tyres, or an above-average condition in relation to year of manufacture and amount of operating hours. This also applies to additional equipment and other accessories. In case that no prices there be no prices stated (dots instead), only very limited units were manufactured/marketed, or the initial value of the machine is to high/low to generate a sensible assessment
A precise valuation of such machinery has to be individually performed by a recognized expert. In cases of special deviations from the above mentioned points it is recommended to consult a machinery expert for a valuation.
All prices are quoted without obligation or warranty. They are net, without VAT, and subject to correction.
Correction of working hours
Example: An evaluation of a 3 year old wheelloader which actually has 1.700 working hours. The column "hours" lists an average of 1.000 (hours p.a.) and 0,8% (per 100 hours difference)
The average value in the year of manufacture is 27.600 Euro (27,6 x 1.000 Euro). This value however refers to 3000 hours (3 years x 1.000 hours). The difference to the actual hours is 1.300 hours (3.000-1.700)
Thus the average value must be increased by 13x0,8%=10,4%. The adapted value of the wheeloader is 30.500 Euro.
If the actual working hours are higher than the average, the result must be subtracted from the average value.
