Superb British bookshelf speakers in excellent condition, good working order with upgraded crossover capacitors.
The Freedom edition was an update to Mission's top 75- range, was introduced in 1996. The 751 was a What Hifi? speaker of the year, and the 751 Freedom, priced at £348 a pair, changed to a smoother silk dome tweeter and a rear port. There are very positive reviews available online.
They have very well built, heavy cabinets finished in real rosewood, uses a mineral loaded polypropylene mid/bass drivers, are rated for use with amplifiers between 25-75W RMS, and have impedance of 6 ohms, and sensitivity of 89dB/W/m. 172 x 320 x 275mm (Width x Height x Depth).
I have upgraded the polyester capacitor in the crossover to a higher grade polypropylene type for better transparency and detail.
They sound superb; smooth but detailed and punchy, warm and clear.
They have been very well looked after and are in lovely condition.
I am happy to demonstrate and I have a wide range of speakers, amplifiers and ponents to choose from.
