My name is George, I have been a full-time professional Maths tutor over the past 20 years tutoring students of all age groups and varying mathematical abilities. I also have experience of working with children with dyslexia and dyscalculia.
I am a very experienced tutor with 900+ students in the past 20 years. Next to 1-1 tuition I have been running group revision classes throughout the year as well as exam preparation classes in the Easter holidays.
I teach in a patient and engaging manner. I am friendly, easy going and take great pride in helping students reach their full potential. It has been great to see how my students have gained in confidence due to encouragement and regular practice and revision over the past years.
My lessons are always pre-prepared before the session after confirming a topic with the student in the previous session; however, should anything come up during the week at school the student hasn’t fully understood we address these issues first. During lessons I go as fast or slow as needed. I can start from the basics and build up or get straight into more advanced concepts.
At the heart of my teaching is always the student and his or her individual needs. My long experience as a Maths tutor allows me to easily adapt my teaching methods tailored to each individual student regardless of which school in Scotland they attend.
When my students have questions in regard to homework from school outside the tuition sessions students can always contact me and I am happy to help free of charge.
I deliver high quality fully interactive online lessons via zoom or by using my own overhead camera system. This format has proven to be just as effective as face to face tutoring.
