Looking for an experienced, hard working cleaner/ housekeeper with very high attention to detail to work on a self employed basis.
Core hours between 10am-3pm (Can be flexible for school runs if needed)
Must be able to work at least one weekend per month
We provide very high standard cleaning and facilities services to a range of 5* holiday lets in the Windsor, Slough, Iver and Maidenhead areas.
Due to the high standards we provide, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
Very hardworking and able to deal with any kind of clean presented. Some guests check out and leave the place great, some leave very messy. It;s hit and miss in this game!
Must have very high attention to detail- This is key! Most of our cleans require in depth cleaning and checks. For example dusting skirting boards and blinds to checking every piece of cutlery and crockery and cleaning/ polishing where needed.
Must be physically fit- one of our properties is a 4 floor purpose built dwelling consisting of 23 apartments (rising to 40 by 2024) and is run like a hotel. There is an elevator but a large amount of walking to and from apartments is required as well as lifting and carrying packs of linen in and out of rooms.
Must have the ability and confidence to speak to guests in a friendly and professional way if the occasion arises. munication is very limited but from time to time you may need to knock on a guest's door if they haven't checked out on time.
Reliable, consistent mitted- It is vitally important that you keep to your schedule as most of our properties have same day bookings. This means should you not turn up for work with no notice, that clean may not be able to get done and a guest is left with nowhere to stay and could ultimately cost us the contract.
I work very closely with my team and co ordinate everything with as much flexibility as possible for my team. This is a hard working role and I would rather be flexible and offer the right candidate the hours/ days they feel they can do and to the highest standard possible rather than putting too much work on you because that can cause mistakes to happen and things to get missed, and that simply cannot happen with this job!
You will be trained by myself and shadowing an existing team member until you are confident enough to carry out cleans on your own. I have specific checklists for every apartment which covers everything you need to have done which helps enormously. I then inspect every check out clean before check in at 3pm or 4pm and will advise you if anything has been missed. This will enable you to remember for next time and eventually it will be second nature to you.
We have several properties within a 7 mile radius. If you are a driver you will be required to attend different properties and your travelling time will be paid for.
I am a single mother and realise the constraints that being a working mum brings. For this reason, I work closely with my team to ensure they are able to fit their work around school hours and can also adjust your hours to suit any benefit claims you may have so you do not go over/ under the required threshold.
I am building a great business built around hard working mums (this doesn't single out anyone else btw) and want a team that understands each other and works well together as well as being a friendly and sociable group. Our current small team are like a family and every so often if work is quiet I will treat everyone to a breakfast or if we finish early on a Friday, i'll treat everyone to a beer. I feel it it is really important to get women back out working after having children because I know how hard it is getting back out there and finding a job that fits around you and understands the constraints of child care and those long summer holidays! This is why I have even made it possible for my team to bring their kids into work with them if they really need to. They can chill on an Ipad while you whizz around working- us mums cant afford to have a day off because the teachers go on strike or the school decided to have a half day!
