Kona Caldera

This is a 2008 Kona Caldera with a 17in (medium) frame.
This is an ex trail centre rental bike so it's got more than its fair share of scrapes and chips to the paint but no dents or dings.
Originally, this had hydraulic brakes but the previous owner removed and kept those for a project so I've fitted Avid BB7 mechanical calipers and new brake levers, disks and pads. The brakes are excellent and can be adjusted without tools. It also has a new chain, tyres and front derailleur.
It has the original Deore XT rear derailleur which works perfectly.
The wheel hubs have been serviced and the rims are true.
The not so good bits:-
The front fork lockout isn't engaging so the suspension is always on.
Part of the bottle cage has snapped but the top mounting bolt is seized and will need to be drilled out if it is to be replaced. It can still hold a bottle though.
At some point a rack has been fitted and a bolt has seized which has then been cut to remove the rack. This has scraped the paint and left a bit of a bolt in the frame. This may also also need drilled and retaped if you want to use the mount.
Despite the issues, this is still a great bike with a lovely light frame which rides brilliantly.
