Intranet Project Manager – 6 month FTC - London

A world–leading steel manufacturing and mining company is searching an Intranet Project Manager on an initial 6–month contract paying GBP60,000 – GBP65,000 pro rata.
The role holder will be responsible for managing the redesign, rebuild and implementation of the corporate intranet, overseeing and being the main driver of this project through to completion.
Reporting to the manager of brand, content and campaigns, the role holder will work alongside the corporate IT teams and corporate communications teams to develop and deliver against a projet plan, with input from a diital communications colleague. The post sits within the core project team and the role holder will provide editorial input into the structure of the new platform.
This is a challenging yet enjoyable role in a global comms team. The organisation offers a hybrid working model and the successful candidate should expect to work from the London office twice a week.
The successful candidate should come from a communications background, and experience of project managing the build and implementation of new/updated intranets for large complex global organisations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the main driver in successfully delivering and implementing a new intranetOversee and manage the governance of this project through to completion. Providing regular updates and progress reports to project sponsors and managing ongoing input and engagement of steering groupDevelop and execute timely communications to the wider businessWork closely with the IT project team lead to develop and deliver against a detailed project plan of key timescales for all phases of the project.Motivate, manage and work with the core project team, ensuring the project remains on time and on budgetProvide editorial input in the structure of the new platform and content produced for corporate functions, consulting on communications strategy and best practice with the multiple global content owners Key Skills and Experience:
Experience developing and implementing new or updated intranets for large, complex global organisationsCommunications background– strong writing experience and abilityExceptional project management skills, prioritisation and bringing project milestones to completion on time and within budgetTechnical working knowledge of SharepointExperience engaging multiple internal stakeholders and able to generate the confidence and support of people from a range of different business areas.Proactive, pragmatic and professional in nature with a team–orientated approach
