Industrial Electrician
Chemdose ltd has an opportunity for an Industrial Electrician to develop their career working within the Water Industry.
A chemical dosing and water pany with over 30 years’ experience. We manufacture dosing and treatment system at our works and provide site installation services throughout the UK.
Reporting to the project manager and coordinated by the site supervisor, you will be responsible for the Electrical installation and testing of industrial equipment for Chemical Dosing systems, Potable/Waste Water Treatment systems.
We ask that you pleted your 18th Edition Wiring regulation and have an ECS electrician card with all the qualification to be an industrial electrician.
The main skills required are:
Installation of Power, Control & Instrument SWA cabling for:
Pumps utilised within the water industry – i.e. Booster Pumps, Sewage Pumps, Dosing Pumps Valve actuators, instrumentation, small power and lighting circuits Control Panels & MCC’s Industrial Equipment, such as Screening equipment, filters, scraper bridges, distributors, penstocks, kiosks, dosing rigs etc. typically found within the water industry All relevant earthing requirements including bonding of extraneous metal equipment Installation of cable containment/management systems Galvanised cable tray Metal & Plastic conduits
Testing of all Power circuits to BS7671 plete all relevant NICEIC test certificates Continuity and earth resistivity testing of all other cabling Fault finding – missioning activities Part of a Mechanical & Electrical gang – Assisting mechanical trades when required
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe installation of Electrical works Delivering the Electrical installation works to meet the contract programme. Red-lining on site Issued for Construction drawings, marking them ‘as-built’ Innovate, providing suggestions and ideas to the project engineer or site supervisor for improved installations. Compliance with site safety, health and environmental policy’s
