Are you a highly motivated Human Resources professional with a strong background in operational HR who is committed to providing a quality service? If so, this newly created role may be just what you are looking for and we would love to hear from you.
You will be a professional with a strong generalist background and the ability to work across a wide breadth of people related matters. You will have a collaborative approach and be able to hit the ground running, building relationships with key stakeholders and delivering professional advice, guidance and proactive HR support to managers and staff.
Based on site at our campus in Street, Somerset, you will work closely with the HR team on developing new and innovative ways of working and will provide the team with supervision and guidance. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational running of the HR department.
You will be qualified to a minimum of CIPD level 5 or have demonstrable current or very recent experience in a similar level role.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, you will also support them with the development and implementation of strategic and transformational change programmes.
You will have significant current or very recent generalist HR experience working in a similar role with exposure to a wide range of complex HR issues.
Rate of Pay or Salary: £37,580 - £40,624 (PO 39-42)
Hours and weeks of work: 37 hours per week, year-round contract
Contract Type: Permanent
Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme with higher-than-average employer contributions
Leave entitlement: 29 days per year plus bank holidays and additional discretionary days at Christmas
