HR Manager - Retail Business

Our client are a leading Retail and Fashion business with a Head office in London and nearly 100 sites UK wide and a strong E commerce presence. An ambitious company with a forward thinking SLT they are looking to recruit a friendly and passionate HR Manager to join their business that supports their growth. Reporting to the Head of Retail and paying up to GBP55,000 your role will be to work with the Senior HR Manager and support the people function to facilitate growth of the business and their 5-year business plan. Your duties will include Acting as the first point of HR contact for the business and its staff Management of all ER cases that get escalated from line managers Coaching line managers in stores or head office on first stages of ER cases Provide advice and guidance to Management in dealing with all people matters including Disciplinary, Grievance, Redundancy, Performance, Attendance, Training etc. Supporting the recruitment team in recruitment planning and facilitating on absence or busy/peak periods Working with the recruitment team and line managers on recruitment activity and assisting in the interview/selection process Responsibility for all employee/HR records and documentation, ensuring the HR system is kept updated Managing operational HR coordination and administration including payroll preparation, compliance, onboarding, benefits and reward Implementing individual training and development plans and administering training programmes when required Supporting the Senior HR Manager with the annual salary review processes Working with the Group HR function in ensuring that all policies and procedures are legally compliant and up to date, keeping up to speed with all legislative changes and bringing forth recommendations to the business Performance management (all levels), including ad-hoc situations along with ensuring that the performance development system is implemented and that standards are consistent across the company. Monitoring and managing employee turnover data for analysing data to provide sound recommendations to the business based on trends Attendance management, including short-term illness, long-term illness and unauthorised absence, providing advice on process, policy and best practise to management ensuring that each case is managed in line with business philosophy PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS HYBRID BUT IS 4 DAYS IN THE OFFICE AND 1 WFH WITH FLEXY START AND FINSIH TIMES This role will ideally suit a Senior HR Advisor or a HR BP within a multisite business that is looking to step up or a HR Manager who is already working in a similar role.
