Finance Manager Role –Growing SME –Permanent –Based near Hay–On–Wye, Herefordshire–Hays Accountancy & Finance Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing SME based near Hay–On–Wye, Herefordshire to recruit for a dynamic, hands–on, and experienced Finance Manager. A varied and permanent newly created role due to company growth supporting the CFO and Managing Director in the management of financial processes and accounting team. The role will heavily involve process/system improvements and supporting the streamlining on management information to support efficient commercial business decisions. A great opportunity that will be tailored around the right finance professional overseeing a small finance function.Your new roleYour key duties will involve managing/controlling all aspects of the company's financial management to ensure the best accounting practices are followed and that data integrity is consistently maintained. You will monitor cashflow, manage the bank accounts and manage processes for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will manage/report on the risk register relating to finance, support financial projects and strategic decisions to enable further company growth and continually review/optimise internal finance processes/administration. You will lead the month–end closing process, prepare the draft annual accounts, analyse/report on performance measures and metrics for senior management, along with preparing VAT returns, HMRC tax returns, PAYE returns, and companies house returns. You will manage all accounting operations including invoicing, debtors, purchase ledger and general ledger, along with supporting/developing a small finance team. You will support the preparation of payroll and pension processes, manage the relationships with insurance providers, and be involved in ad–hoc financial reporting. What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this hands–on and varied Finance Manager position, you will need experience within a similar role, knowledge of standard accounting practices, management reporting, cash flow management and business budgeting/forecasting. You will have strong MS excel skills, be trained in a range of financial systems with an analytical approach to suggest/implement process and system improvements. You will be used to managing workloads, meeting time–constraint deadlines, and be a pro–active problem solver. Finance professionals Qualified/Part–Qualified or qualified by experience will be considered. It would be advantageous if you have experience developing/leading a small finance team, SME experience, strategic planning, and Sage finance software experience. What you'll get in return This permanent Finance Manager role is offering salary between GBP40,000 – GBP50,000 per annum (dependable on experience) based near Hay–On–Wye, Herefordshire.
