Fender USA Stratocaster 1997 California Series

Lovely, clean example of a much sought after and rare guitar.
Fender only made these for a year between 97 and 98, essentially this is a 62 reissue made in USA using all American parts, with the bodies being sent to Mexico for spraying and then finally all assembled back in the US factory.
The story goes that these guitars were so revered at the time, that production was pulled as they were hitting the sales of 62 reissues and standards. This guitar really sounds and plays like a far more expensive strat.
Specs are great, 3 ply scratch, C profile neck, thick rosewood slab fretboard, tex mex pickups, vintage Kluson tuners and no swimming pool route.
In great condition, with a couple of minor marks here and there, little to no fret wear, complete with a reasonable hard case.
