I have to be very careful of where the original owners derived as I sell at such bargain prices to the general public.
This is why I do this:
REFURBISH PROCEDURE – HAS THIS BEEN COMPLETED
1.Examine screen for defects
2.Check keyboard for missing keys
3.Ensure battery is manufacturer’s model
4.Navigate to Motherboard Manufacturer's Website
5.Turn on puter
6.Check start-up for on-screen faults
7.Remove keyboard and surrounds
8.Remove base-plates
9.Check WiFi and Bluetooth modules are secure and wires attached
10.Check your hard-drive to ensure it is tightly engaged with interface
11.Check interface cable (although rarely damaged)
12.Ensure your Screen/Motherboard input/output is secure and tight
13.Check speakers for damage as cables often route across the M/Board.
14.Uninstall Loosen the Heat Sink and Processor Fan
all other hardware from puter except for the motherboard
15.Remove the heatsink
16.Clean heat-paste from heatsink using alcohol
17.Touch the Processor to check heat before removal
18.Lift out the CPU (make sure you use anti-static gloves)
19.Apply CPU paste (size of a pea is normal)
20.Lock the CPU in place
21.If upgrading RAM, ensure you use the correct matching pair
22.Check for Damage on Motherboard (burn marks from diodes)
23.Ensure your PSU (power supply) input is not loose or damaged
24.Using a soft brush lightly dust fans, ports etc to remove dust
25.Reconnect the Keyboard and peripherals
26.Load Fail-Safe defaults which should highlight conflicts
27.Restart the Computer
28.Reboot in Bios checking for system boot-up procedures
29.Load new Operating System (normally Windows) from existing DVD
30.Reload all Drivers (puters will identify those required)
31.Load your anti-virus
32.Choose/download your preferred Browser
33.Install your Office program (some are free)
34.Check your PSU (power supply) for correct input/output
35.Ensure you also check the mains cable for damage
36.Check all keys on keyboard operate in LC and Caps.
37.Run puter self-test diagnostics (takes approx. 1 hour).
