Dev Ops Engineer (UKIC DV Cleared)

Our client is looking to add additional engineers to an existing project team to take ownership of an operational Big Data project. The project covers a wide range of technologies supporting multiple pipelines consisting of data ingest, data store clusters, Query APIs and UI Components to presenting data from those APIs. The hybrid team works across a number of locations. You will be tasked with development, integration and support activities, working primarily on-site with the customer, with UI and REST API development performed by a wider team. JOB RESPONSIBLITIES Deploying APIs and UI components into a Kubernetes cluster Integrating API / UI components with existing data stores and APIs Maintaining and developing existing architectural components including Data Ingest, Data Stores and REST APIsYou will participate in sprint ceremonies with the agile team, attending daily stand-ups, epic decomposition, demos and planning sessions. DESIRIBLE SKILLS You will be familiar with a number of these technologies: Apache Nifi Flink Java Ansible Docker Kubernetes ELK stack Linux Sys Admin for deployed Clusters (10's of servers) Jenkins Pipeline development Integration / debugging Understanding complex system architectures Technologically curious / Willing / Able to tactically upskill new technologies
