We have a fantastic opportunity to join the team. This role will help deliver analytic and negotiation support for the Fresh category covering Produce, Meat, Dairy and Bakery. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible to source products and services petitive prices that are fit for purpose for the Elior business. Manage and mitigate risk through effective category and contract management. Deliver continuous improvement and cost optimization through effective supplier management. Your key accountabilities as an Assistant Fresh Food Buyer will consist of: Conduct category management for all categories allocated, including: Market Overview Strategy and plan Conduct tendering and/or benchmarking in line with category strategy/plan Carry out contract and pricing negotiations as required Ensure standard Elior contracts are in place for all suppliers, including: Products / Services Pricing and review mechanisms SLA's KPI's Legislative requirements Ensure suppliers understand and pliant to Elior systems and processes Facilitate appropriate support Effectively manage suppliers through regular reviews which include: KPI's / SLA's Innovation Sustainability Cost management Value chain analysis Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business requirements and implement agreed supplier and product/service changes. pany initiatives as required. Participate with the Group Procurement team to drive international initiatives within category responsibilities Monitor supplier deals to ensure they deliver in line with expectations Attend weekly pricing meetings to report on inflation and impact Attending monthly finance meetings to report on savings and performance of negotiated deals in relation to volumes. Communicate all changes impacting the business as required including: Supplier/product/service changes Periodic market outlook reports by category Support the Safety and Wellbeing team on product recalls Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week Skills and Experience The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Assistant Fresh Food Buyer include: Degree & / or CIPS qualified Previous experience of working as a Fresh Food buyer 2-3 years Negotiation/contract management Project management Commercial acumen & analytical Process orientated IT Skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word Communication - written and oral A mute to the City office is required.
