This Golf Club is seeking a bookkeeper to replace the current incumbent who is retiring at the end of April. The applicant should be an experienced bookkeeper with a proven track record, preferably with prior experience of working in a similar golf club role.
The role is mostly focused on Bookkeeping; however, as this is a small team, the candidate should be flexible and able to turn their hand to any task required for the smooth running of a small office.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing customer invoices
Credit control
Inputting purchases to accounts system
Supplier payment runs
Monthly journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets etc
Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledgers, bank accounts and credit card/expenses
VAT returns: Knowledge of partial exemption treatment is essential
Balance sheet reconciliations prior to production of management accounts
Production of timely monthly accounts and reports
Dealing with incomings calls and emails
In addition to these functions, you may be required to carry out additional duties as may reasonably be required
About You
You must be organised, accurate, efficient and detail orientated.
A can-do attitude and willingness to get involved beyond the job description is essential.
Fully qualified AAT or \"Qualified by experience\"
Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role
Knowledge of technology- Excel and accountancy apps, ideally QuickBooks/Xero experience
Hours, Remuneration and other benefits:
Start date: April 2023
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000
Hours: 39 hours per week
Holiday: 20 days pro-rate
Pension: 3% employer contribution paid after successful probation
