Our client delivers inspirational interior fit-out packages across the UK and international markets. This is supported by their 120,000 sq. ft. UK manufacturing facility and 150,000 sq. ft. logistics operation together with their China Sourcing capability.
They have vacancies available for Bench Hand Joiners to join an experienced team, dedicated to achieving consistently high-quality finishes.
Key responsibilities include:
Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists to produce wood components Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and join wood pieces Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, and routers to prepare wood for assembly Assemble wood components using adhesives, clamps, and hand tools Check the quality of woodwork produced and make adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy and precision Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and company policies Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and deadlinesThe ideal candidate:
Our client is looking for an individual with previous woodworking experience and is proficient in the use of hand and power tools to cut, shape and join wood pieces. You will also have the following skills to hit the ground running:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists Good attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in woodwork production Knowledge of safety procedures and policies to maintain a safe work environment Good communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with other team members Ability to work efficiently on their own or as part of a pair Experience in laminating wood pieces is preferable, but not essential Physical strength and stamina to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy wood piecesPay and hours:
Rate of pay - £12.75 per hour
Working hours 39 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays.
