Sealed vacuum-packed British Army surplus NBC suits 2 packs of jackets and 2 packs of trousers (= 2 full British Army surplus NBC suits).
They’re two shades of green, which makes them look amazing – camouflaged. Charcoal layer (offering NBC protection) is sandwiched between the hardwearing and fy fabric – built to survive nuclear (N) fallout during the cold war, as well as biological (B) and chemical (C) attacks. Indeed, all these decades after that, they’re still very good once their vacuum packs are opened for modern-day pursuits such as: fishing, paintballing and wildlife photography.
Size small British solder is about medium+ on “Civvy Street” – the person modelling in photo is 5ft 10. I’m 5ft 8 and broader, I enjoyed having lots of room because they’re designed to fit over uniforms and other kit.
Plus, 1 NBC standard holdall that’s padded fy when resting – built to survive nuclear fallout during the cold war and, all these decades after that, are still going strong. There's patina from old, specialized forces’ markings, stickers, and instructions that adds to both the charm and value of this very special lot. Also, they’ll stand up to mud and water almost forever with just a quick wipe when back home.
Plus, 2 pairs of unused and like new, British Army boot liners/overshoes that retailed in army surplus store for £14.99 each (x 2 sets = £29.98. Knee-length about 18 ½ long. Can fit either inside or outside footwear – Velcro fastenings that were built to withstand NBC contamination. I’m a large size 8 to 8 ½ foot and even though there’s plenty of room, one of my pairs keeps my feet warm in wellies. Also, I’ve a pair that have been used over my trainers, which is ideal for paintballing.
Plus, 1 pack that retailed for £3.49 of 3mm bungee cord (very handy for securing tackle and making braces to hold those NBC trousers up).
Plus, 1 pack (of 6) 3-bar sliders and 1 pack of 2 D-rings – ideal for making quick release straps with the bungee cord.
I’m happy to save items if you can let me know an approximate time for collection only/viewing 8am-10:00pm most days (apart from odd trip out) from small, covered, front porch/doorway with working doorbell that switches light on during night time at private housing estate, former site of Shirecliffe College (easy to find from bus stops, cycling, driving, and walking, just off Shirecliffe Road), Standish Way, Sheffield, S5 8YA.
I’ll carry change for cash payments and immediate collection because internet banking transfers can take up to 2 hours to clear an account.
