Overview
The primary focus of the role is to identify, develop and deliver new revenue opportunities. Uniquely these prise strategic consultancy and creative delivery. Once the sale is closed, the Account Director will retain responsibility for customer satisfaction and revenue delivery on an ongoing basis and will work with a team of expert culture change specialists who will be accountable for planning and delivering the programme to the client.
Account Directors will also be responsible for finding new clients for the subscription Chrysalis product.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong business development and sales capability. Ability to sell to the c-suite. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent client relationship munication skills, proven business acumen and the ability to work effectively individually as well as with teams of consultants and service delivery professionals.
Responsibilities
The Account Director achieves personal revenue targets through the development of sales leads, prospect qualification and managing the sales processes through to successful conclusion.
The Account Director identifies new revenue opportunities from new and existing clients and markets and proposes improvements to the propositions petitive positioning.
For an identified selection of clients, the Account Director has overall responsibility for the client relationship and mercial oversight of specific programme.
The Account Director takes a strategic overview of each programme related to their clients and provides direction and support to the Lead Consultants.
Work across a portfolio of clients and programmes to maintain strategic relationships with senior decision-makers to identify additional opportunities for their services.
In all aspects of the role with clients and internally the Account Director operates in accordance with the clients values of Trust; Empathy; Passion; Excellence and Engagement.
Role and Responsibilities
Sales and Account Development
Identify and develop sales opportunities both from individual efforts and working with the sales team.
Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure the consultancy and creative programmes are scoped to meet clients' strategic requirements.
Take the lead in client sales meetings, and bring in the appropriate members of the team to provide consultancy and creative support in the efforts to develop the account.
Co-ordinate the effort for new client sales meetings, including presentations and proposals. Bring the right team together to win the business.
Develop an Account Development Plan including revenue targets for each client and ensure Salesforce is kept updated. Feed these plans into the sales forecast.
Close the sale and transition the client to the delivery phase in which the Lead Consultants will take the lead.Delivery
Attend key internal and client project calls as necessary such as at key milestones in the programme, mercial decisions are needed or if the programme is giving cause for concern.
Throughout the programme support the Lead Consultant(s) to ensure the programme is successful and meets the client objectives including a positive impact on the culture of the organisation.
Customer Satisfaction
Throughout the programme, keep in touch with the client on a regular basis to ensure the client is satisfied with the progress of the project and the delivery by the Lead Consultant and the delivery team.
Ensure positive relationships with key client stakeholders and build long term partnership relationships with clients so that they see our client as a strategic partner and not just a supplier.
Commercial and Financial Management
Ensure the financial success of the project including meeting revenue and profitability goals
Work with the Financial Controller to manage client cash receipts, keeping debtor days as low as possible.
Project Review
At key points during the programme and at the end, contribute to a Programme review to assess the success of the programme and ensure lessons are learned.Profile

Strong and established business development and sales experience to national and international corporate clients.
Experience in conceptual selling - consultancy services or plex sales.
Ability to manage mercial processes (new business sales and renewals), forecast with precision and identify challenges / bottlenecks to a mercial e.
Commercially and financially astute.
Excellent client relationship skills.
Performance and delivery focused.
