This stunning Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 was supplied new by Currie Ford in Surrey to a Mr Liddon on 3/12/1991, it was then passed on to his nephew on 1/3/2009 until present (2 family owners from new). The car has it'plete Ford book pack with owners manuals, the service book with 16 service stamps, a file full of invoices from Ford dealers for servicing etc to back up it's genuine 73,000 miles from new, it's original sales brochure given to Mr Liddon in 1991, original salesmans business card is still in the book pack, original 2 Keys, original dealer rear window sticker, along with the original handover forms and hand written letter to Mr Liddon confirming receipt of £1000 deposit payed at point of sale. The car has been loved all of its life and has never had blues hoses, performance chips, big bore exhausts or anything else non standard fitted to it. All ancillaries are original (starter motor / alternator / radiator etc). The car has never received any welding underneath and has been waxoyled (clear waxoyl). Of course, the car is HPI clear, please feel free to do your own checks using the registration number. The cars interior is immaculate with no rips or holes in the seats, the dash is uncracked, the switch gear has no wear and all electric windows and heated screen etc work as they should. The car has had a new cam belt in June last year and has recently received a full service including new genuine oil filter, oil, spark plugs, discs and pads, brake fluid change, coolant change, and 5 new Toyo Proxes tyres. All glass are original and are stamped with matching security numbers. When the car came to us it had a light graze on the drivers side corner of the front bumper, some light scratches around the front door handles, 6 or 7 small stone chips on the bonnet, some stone chips on the inner lip of the wheel arches, none of which would polish out, so we took the decision to send the car away for a full (and very expensive) professional respray by a trusted classic vehicle pany, the car now looks like new. We have also had all 5 wheels professionally stripped and refurbished and dressed them with 5 new Toyo tyres. The engine does not smoke or rattle, as you'd expect with a vehicle which has been hugged and kissed as much as this, the clutch is strong, the gearbox is smooth with no crunching in any gears, it really is a joy to for the purist:- When the car came to us, the vinyl on the door cards had started to shrink back, we have purchased and fitted a reconditioned set of door cards, the material is identical to the original and look like new, however we have the original door cards and they will go with the car.- The original Ford radio cassette and graphic equalizer are of course still in place, and both turn on, but no sound omits from the speakers. - The headlining, whilst it plete, has started e away from it's backing towards the rear above the rear window.This car will of course attract genuine collectors and enthusiasts of this marque, sadly however it will also attract the non serious people who perhaps haven't thought it through.
