Solid Wood *1930-40's Parlour Guitar
I've done a bit of restoration work on this lovely guitar, and she's ready for a new home.
She's all solid wood, with flat sawn figured boards and solid flamed maple sides.
*I'm going out on a limb here, and guessing she's from around the 1930's to 1940's era. I deal with enough vintage guitars to have a bit of a sense for these things. She has the old style tuners, typical of that era, which have been serviced and teflon lubed, a floating bridge, and tailpiece.
She has a bone nut leading to a zero fret, and all the fret work has been done for you. She's also had plenty of cleaning and polishing, whilst respecting her vintage patina. I've crafted a pearl style pickguard, and aged it with gold and brown hues to give it plimentary vintage look. She has obvious signs of wear, which gives her great character, so she's lovely. You can feel the grain on the soundboard in places so know that's perfectly normal. Underneath she has a wooden strap pin.
Playability wise, she's a real player.
The neck is excellent, with perfect relief, and she's playing great all the way up the fingerboard.
I fitted a new set of 12's and she handles them no problem, but as always, if you want to keep her in great structural condition for the next generation, tune her down a little when not using her.

Approx 2.5mm bass and 1.75mm treble
Nut width 45mm
Scale length just over 610mm
Maker wise I'm unsure but she's a nice quality instrument of the day, and has lasted very well.
Like many old parlours, any label has long gone, but don't confuse her with more modern reproduction instruments built in this style. She's the real deal, and will have many a story to tell. She has a cool tone that you only get with old parlours.
