Wemyss Rare Black Cabbage/Rose Biscuit Jar+Lid.

Here we have an ultra rare Wemyss Black Cabbage/Rose Biscuit Jar+Lid.Beautiful design with plenty of Rose & Leaf pattern all around this lovely piece.Measures approx. 6 inches tall with the knopped top, 4.5 inches wide & the lid itself is just under 5 inches.Has the Wemyss impressed mark into the base along with the written Wemyss mark.A really nice, hard to find piece to add to someones collection.Very unfortunately, and have to bring to your attention for clarity purposes, it does have a couple of issues.Looking at the item from the outside, the piece is wholly round or circular. Unfortunately, the inside, as I have tried to show, this being when it was actually fired 100 years ago, is NOT fully circular for some reason.Still, takes nothing away from visually, like I said from the outside.I have also tried to show a missing small piece 2mm square on a leaf & going down the side of one of the pink leaves.Very sad, I know but still displays beautifully & really looks the business next to the usual white coloured Wemyss pieces.All in all, a very collectable & rare piece indeed.Thanks for looking & feel free to view my other varied items.
