VW T3 T25 Campervan 1990
Well cared for and lots of money spent on this over the years. Going to be a real pull to let it go... but have a new van so need to move it on for its next adventure.
Last few MOTS all clear.. current MOT lasts till November 2023.
This has been our family camper for about 10 years. It has had a pretty easy life and has been garaged when not in use. Great for days and weeks away.
It has the 1.9 dg petrol engine (driven on E5 fuel) with 5 gears and still pulls very well. This is to be expected given the replacement VEGE engine fitted around 35k miles ago. Currently 229,000 on the clock.
Dropped suspension by 50mm on high quality HR springs in the last 12 months.
BBE style melba wheels painted black with a nice retro feel. Tyres all spot on.
Rare brushed chromed sidebars fitted.
Stainless exhaust system added in last six months.
Rare converted Caravelle, RHD, twin slider, heating vents front and back, twin sunroof, towbar, remote central locking (i know right?), alarm, decent apple/android compatible stereo, Rock and roll bed, factory fitted seatbelts in rear, film tinted rear windows, skimboard table, fiamma tripod table fixing, captains style passenger chair turns to face rear, internal lighting, loads of storage, 12v power points and usb chargers, front and rear.. one of a kind dash.
Bodywork is good and shines up well.. some rust rash as pictured but bodywork is very good for age and this van has been a real headturner over the years. I spent four figures on rust repairs to ns bodywork on the rear quarter a few years ago (reciepts retained).
Self built interior to make most of twin slider interior with Smev 9222 sink, cooker. Electric cold tap and 10 litre water tank. Will include full set of thermal window covers and full set of double sided zebra print curtains (although accept these will not be to everyone's taste 😉)
Split charge relay feeding leisure battery under passenger seat.
Serviced annually by me (pretty sure i have kept the reciepts for service kit) and before that the well regarded gasure at Chester kept it serviced for us.
Has been running well and reliably for a good few years.
To be clear.....
Slight crunch on 2nd gear when cold and occasionally jumps out. Been on my to do list for 8 years and still goes and all gears engage and work fine. (Linkage cleaned and replaced in last 12 months)
Small coolant leak from the front to back pipes that will need attention over the next few years.
