Here we have a very clean, tidy, totally original rust free & family owned 1990/ H Mk2 VW Golf mk2, 1.3 Petrol, Manual, 5 door hatchback, Finished in White, Very low mileage at only 52k miles, Family owned from new, passed on from husband, wife son and then to a car garage to myself. Perfect for a show car.
The Golf is a very basic model has factory sunroof, 3 speed heater blower, Rear heated screen, Rear wash/wipers, Period Torronto Radio/ cassette player, Totally unmarked cloth interior, the seats are in excellent condition, Height adjustable drivers seat, Front headrests, Rear folding Seats, Plenty of storage compartments.
The Golf has the popular 1272cc 8v carburetor engine, attached to a 4 speed Manual gearbox with smooth gearchanges. Previously has had a new Starter motor & Alternator fitted. Please note that carburetor & choke will need adjusting/ fine tuning as its rough on idle but gets better as it warms up. I am planning on getting this looked at when I get chance.
The paintwork work is totally original and polishes up very well, The bodywork is very good for its age having no rust or filler, although it does have a light dent to the passenger side wing and driver side rear door also has a little ding (see pics). These can be taken out but I left as is, gives it character!. The underside is good as the exterior very solid, the arches are all clean and solid, the engine bay is spotless again with no rust. The sunroof surround could do with a repaint as worn with age but nothing major.
The Golf was recommissioned having carried out the following work in Oct 21 which includes: (Hardly been driven since).

. Inlet manifold gasket

12 months MOT with no advisories.
The Golf comes with all its books/manuals, VW folder, some old receipts including the pre delivery inspection sheet and stamped service book. HPI clear (text).
Also includes VW jack, wrench and other spare bits and bobs, spare wheel also included.
This Golf would be a perfect genuine & original show car and a fine example for any classic car show.
