Sony Discman D-321 portable CD player

The D-321 has a very strong reputation as a vintage cd player. It has sold recently for hundreds of pounds / dollars recently on ebay.
This particularuUnit works fine with mains power. It can be used as a CD player with the Yamaha integrated stereo I am also selling (cable included)
The original unit came with a rechargeable battery (included) and with an external battery case (included). However, over the years there was battery leakage. I do not know if you can get it to work on battery again but as I said it does work fine on mains power,
Apart from the battery issue, the unit is in very good condition.
Please understand this player was made before recordable CD-R and CD-RW. It will struggle to play some CD-R and CD-RW properly. Definitely patible with MP3 or WMA files.
Still one of the best audiophile sounding portable CD players ever made.
3 steps mega bass, resume, repeat and hold function. One of the 1st Discman with Electronic Shock Protection (ESP).
Original Sony plug included.
Unit's LCD display lights up when connected to AC power.
