About this client/child:
Jake is 10 years old; he is an outgoing, active, and gregarious young man with a passion for swimming and hopes to start skiing soon; Jake also enjoys trips to London on the train and loves playing in his sensory room! Jake has Autism Spectrum Condition, a Learning Disability, Developmental Delay, Behaviours that may challenge, and a Visual Impairment. Jake strives for his independence; he is mobile at home and uses a wheelchair for longer distances. Jake lives with his family in Bray, Berkshire, and has a team of support workers and night carers to meet all his care, health, and medical needs.
Overview of role:
The Night Carer will start their shift at 9pm, and will start with reading his care and handover notes from the day support worker; Jake is usually settled in bed and asleep at this time and you will be alerted via a video monitor if Jake needs assistance during the night (personal care, settling back to sleep etc.) We do not expect that the Night Carer will have regular sleep disturbance, however, if Jake is having a particularly difficult night; you will be paid a waking night rate (£16.00 gross per hour). Additional hours are available during the week, weekend and school holidays if desired.

An experienced Night Carer who has previously supported a young client plex care and behavioral needs. You will be dedicated, hardworking, trustworthy, and robust. Non-smoker/vaper only.
