Senior Wills and Probate Solicitor

Sue Ross Legal are working with a busy high street law firm for the recruitment of a Senior Wills and Probate Solicitor/ Head of Department. This is a varied role, and the successful candidate will be required to take over an existing caseload of Wills, Probate, Trusts, and LPA work as well as COP matters. You will also be expected to provide direct supervision to the more junior members of the team. Career progression and potential partnership is also available within the firm. To be considered for this role, you must be a Qualified Solicitor with extensive experience dealing with a varied caseload of Wills and Probate. Previous experience of supervising and managing a team would be desirable but not essential. Required skills: Ability to deal with estate accounts. Ability to deal with tax matters desirable. Excellent communication skills - experience in dealing with clients via telephone and face-to-face is essential. Ability to organise and prioritise workload within the required timescales. Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently and manage staff. Ability to work under pressure as and when required (this may involve some flexibility in working hours). Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other documents An understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion which are needed when working in a solicitor firm. Some travel out of the office may be required. Experience of Partner for Windows is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. This is a permanent role, with a Competitive salary (dependent on experience), and excellent benefits on offer.
