We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Project Officer with experience of Proof of Concept projects, working with people with mental illness, project management and munication and interpersonal skills.
As the Senior Project Officer you will be supporting the Programmes Team to deliver strategic programmes of work, with a focus on proof-of-concept projects, testing ideas, challenging ways of working, and innovations, all led by the voice of lived experience.
The role of Senior Project Officer will be focused on ensuring the team has the tools needed to meet project milestones, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the smooth running and delivery of projects, inclusive of co-production and involvement activities.
Working as the Senior Project Officer you will support experts by experience, people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness. This support will include the participation in engagement and co-production sessions around a variety of topics related to mental illness. You will support the organisation and facilitation of sessions, meetings with various internal and external stakeholders, amongst other tasks to ensure smooth running of the projects.
The organisation has a strong, established strategic co-production and involvement practice, with additional expertise munity engagement, organising and listening. They facilitate the co-production of specific strategies for each area, programme or service context they work in. Their overall approach is to support and train experts by experience to facilitate the gathering of lived experience insights from diverse backgrounds, who can represent and influence the quality, development and evaluation of services.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experience of working with people with lived experience of mental illness, and their families and carers
Interested in the value of lived experience as plementary perspective to the professional perspective – to arrive at better solutions
Experience of delivering focus groups / engagement sessions, engaging attendees and getting the most out of people
Experience managing safeguarding issues
Passionate about equality and diversity and increasing representation

Excellent organisational skills and can meet deadlines and manage priorities
Experience of working collaboratively and accountably as part of a remote team
Able to work on own initiative, taking decisions autonomously
