The Site Security Manager is responsible for the workforce management of the Security for Yeovil and Bristol security teams employed on the contract. This includes ownership of contract scheduling, Timegate compliance, recruitment, coordination of investigation and disciplinary procedures, absence/performance management and training.
The Security Manager will be a strong multitasker and pride yourself on upholding the highest standards of security and customer service. You will ensure your team deliver a high-quality security service to create a safe environment.
The successful candidate will be experienced in security management. You will love a challenge leading your team whilst adopting a hands-on approach, rolling your sleeves up and being involved on a day-to-day basis. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential together with good computer literacy.
Responsibilities
Support the Yeovil and Bristol site operational requirements in leading the Security Teams, ensuring they are suitably developed, trained, rehearsed, briefed, ready and available to carry out their roles and responsibilities at all times.Ensuring understanding and demonstrable implementation of the Securitas Values of Integrity; Vigilance and Helpfulness.Maintain Yeovil and Bristol area scheduling, Timegate and holiday planning up to 6 months in advance.Conduct monthly site audits to ensure that all contract paperwork (DOB, key logs, post instructions, etc.) is in place to confirm audit compliance.Own the attendance management process, monitoring and instigating further action as absence trigger points are reached.Support the Branch by conducting investigations and disciplinary action as required.Maintain a 100% Timegate record of all security staff, to include staff development and welfare records.Support the Branch / Training Team in developing specialist training and education including contractual training requirements.Lead the Yeovil and Bristol area recruitment process.Support the Branch / client to ensure that all policies and procedures in place are compliant with legislative and ISO 9002 requirements and that their own controls (Timegate, A.I.s, Risk Assessments etc) are in place and up to date.Ensure the security team's understanding and compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety procedures and PPE.To have a good understanding of all departmental operational functions.Any other duties as directed by the Branch Manager / Deputy Branch Manager.Essential SkillsMust have min 1 year but preferably 3 years + Managerial Experience on a contract of a similar size and exposure Excellent customer service, management skills, people skills, organisational skills and time managementAbility to remain firm, diplomatic and approachable.SIA license or willingness to attain5-year checkable employment historyStrong security service delivery backgroundStrong knowledge and exposure to unionsRisk Assessment working experience essentialIOSH qualification preferred but not essentialAble to achieve BPSS/SCAvailable for out of hour emergencies and escalation (this could include weekends)About CompanySecuritas Benefits: Paid holiday, company pension and life assurance schemeDiscounted gym membership, wellness advice and supportCycle to Work Scheme, car lease and new car purchasing schemes Employee discounts and cashback savings across hundreds of your favourite high street brands, online shopping, holidays, and days outCity & Guilds accredited training program for professional and personal developmentSupport to gain your SIA license and many more!JOIN US TODAY!
