Hours: 37.5hrs pw (long days & Weekend shifts) Urgent Care is open 8am- 8 pm and flexibility will be required to cover these times

Brilliant opportunity for a Paediatric A&E Nurse to take the next step in their career & join the Urgent Care Portland Hospital as a Senior Staff Nurse
As a Paediatric Senior Staff Nurse working within Urgent Care, you will provide clinical leadership and ensure the provision of high-quality nursing care to children and families. You will be undertaking responsibility for the department and working to promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Take charge of the unit and manage patient flow safely and efficiently
Co-ordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team
Manage allocated resources effectively and efficiently.
Ensure documentation is completed accurately and within agreed timescales
Ensure the provision of appropriate mentors for student nurses and provide a supportive environment.
Ensure that tailored care plans are in place for all patients in the designated clinical area.
Skills & Experience:
NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
Understanding of Safeguarding issues with Safeguarding Level 3 training
Must have experience working within a paediatric A&E or UCC with experience in performing minor procedures such as plastering, wound care and performing ECGs
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ideally experience in Manchester Triage or evidence of a Paediatric assessment course.
Excellent knowledge of clinical governance and experience with audits
