Selling our beloved child carrier after 6 wonderful years.
This is a top of the range carrier which still has thousands of miles of adventures ahead!
The carrier was bought from Cotswold outdoor centre brand new and was supplied along with a raincover left over from previous stock. At the time I recall Osprey had just released this model of the Poco range and bizarrely discontinued the raincover! In case you ever need a replacement cover, they are now back on sale but there was a time the rain cover was in very high demand!
The carrier is an engineering masterpiece. It has allowed us to carry our three young ones up some mighty hills and all the while feeling that our children (and us) were safe fortable.
The straps are fortable on your back (adjustable for a very wide range of sizes) - I am 6’6” and had no problems) and our kids have all found the seat fortable that they tended to spend the whole time in there fast asleep.
There’s a nice large storage area and the kickstand is very sturdy - you can pop it out and the carrier instantly es a high chair! It then easily pops back in so that you’re not bumping into things while you walk.
It’s a carrier for all seasons - your child will be snug in the soft cosy seat for winter and the shade / rain bination basically turns the carrier into a nice warm cocoon where they can sleep. In summer, there’s plenty of airflow and the sun shade is just perfect.
The stirrups mean your child can wriggle a bit to take the weight off the seat when they want to, while the safety strap means you can tie your shoelaces without tipping a little person out over your head!!
The zip pocket on the waist strap is a good size for essentials like keys - we also used to keep pact mirror in there so we could say hello to the little one from time to time.
You’re e e and take a closer look before buying. Bring your little one with you to get their verdict and I have no doubt you will both be wanting to take it into the peaks straight away!
