Heybrook Trio speakers, refurbished with new foam woofer surrounds, and new internal wiring.
The Trio dates from the early 1990s when they were priced at £349 a pair, and was essentially an upmarket version of the multiple award with HB1 speaker. The HB1 won the What Hifi? magazine best speaker award for 3 years running in the 80s. The Trio gained a real wood finish, slimmer cabinet and better crossover components over the HB1 S3. They follow a magic recipe for cost effective speakers; a simple 2 way in a largish box with an 8 inch woofer. They have a fast, open, exciting sound with great timing and detail.
The woofers have been re-foamed, the internal wiring to the tweeter has been upgraded and the cabinets have had some damage filled and sanded.
