8-yo chihuahua sadly needing a new forever home with private secure garden.
Gorgeous, very good boy, neutered, microchipped, loves people but not other animals.
Must go to a loving secure home with no other pets, a private garden and preferably people around most of the day to keep him company. Ideally his new owners will be experienced with chihuahuas (or willing to learn).
I'm sadly rehoming my dog for health reasons (mine not his). He's an 8 year-old chihuahua, in good health. He is a rescue dog, I've had him 5 years and done lots of training and rehabilitative work with him, however it's in his nature to be hypervigilant , nervous, and fear-aggressive with other dogs - he's improved a lot but there's still work to do. He's had some success walking with and becoming friendlier with a couple of dogs, but often when sharing an indoor space with them he can be quite a bully, hence needing to be the only pet.
He's on the large side for a chihuahua, weighing approx 3.6kg / 8lbs. When I adopted him he had slight luxating patellas but with regular walks he hasn't had them since.
He loves lap time, pats, playing tug of war, his heated bed, being snuggled under blankets, and walks (until they become too stressful due to seeing other dogs!). I joke that he's Rudi by name and rud(ie) by nature as he can be pretty strong-willed and opinionated at times. He's an absolute sweetheart though.
He likes children and seems to be quite good with them, though of course this should always be supervised.
The adoption fee includes a good amount of his food, a number of beds and blankets for him, leads, toys, brushes and shampoo, jackets, a heated pet mattress, access to specialised chihuahua training videos, and of course a loyal little furry companion.
