About the company:
Our client is a family run flooring retailer, established for 40 years. They supply and fit floor coverings to domestic and commercial customers within the Wetherby, Leeds, Harrogate & York areas. They pride themselves on their excellent reputation for quality products, fitting and customer service.
The store is open six days a week so some Saturday working will be required and you will join a Saturday rota system. Our client will consider full time and part time applications.
About the Flooring Sales and Surveyor Assistant Role:
You will play a key role in the continued success and expansion of the business. You will be friendly, charming, enthusiastic and conscientious, with the drive and self-motivation required to create success in your life and with the company.
You will work primarily out of our client’s Wetherby showroom, serving customers on the shop floor, as well as shadowing their senior surveyor in measuring and estimating for new projects.
Once competent you will spend part of your time conducting flooring surveys on your own using a company vehicle and using the Wetherby showroom as your base.
The surveyors play a key role in assessing job specifications and recommending to customers the best approach to installation and the most appropriate products to use.
Key responsibilities include:
Help customers select suitable flooring options in the showroom
Respond to customer inquiries face to face, over the phone and online
Organise measure and fitting appointments
Plan and organize customer quotations and orders
Conduct home measure appointments to survey areas for new flooring and advise customers on product choice and limitations
About you:
This is a highly varied and interesting role that will require you to develop a wide range of valuable business skills. You must be dynamic; customer focused with strong organisational skills and eager to learn.
